Via Tender: API key limits
Reported by Travis Bell | April 23rd, 2012 @ 08:41 AM | in Moon (closed)
Assigned to Tender discussion #601. As reported in Tender:
Hey,
I'm creating a stylish movie site on my spare time and I'm wondering a couple of things about how to handle the API key.
I've created a WebService that I use as an proxy to the TMDB API, and that securely hides my api key from the public. This is not a perfect solution though as this will make all the API calls from the server and, I'm guessing, will make me reach the call limit quite often/quickly when many users are using the site.
There is no way to make the API key domain specific?
Also how do you guys work with your api key? Do you hide or not?
Any help with this would be appreciated.Cheers,
sQVe
