I don't know if you think this ticket is important at all, but if there's any chance of it being considered for implementation, would it be possible to instead add the Wikidata IDs for movies and people?
e.g. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q8006 or https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q47221 .
Unlike wikipedia links, these IDs are not bound to a specific language's wikipedia article and are generally quite a bit more robust. They are also less prone to broke links, as cases where, for example, some Hungarian actor has an English Wikipedia article created, linked to, and then subsequently deleted for lack of notability are much less of an issue, because it is unlikely that the item will be purged from all localized versions of wikipedia.
